Nuheara Limited (ASX: NUH) (“Company” or “Nuheara”), a global leader in Intelligent Hearing: smart personal hearing devices that enhance and amplify human experiences, is delighted to announce that IQbuds BOOST™ (BOOST) production has now commenced and pre-orders are now open.

With BOOST’s proprietary EarID™ recently receiving clinical validation, and due to strong global market interest from distributors, retailers and consumers, the Company has brought forward it’s BOOST pre-order opening to commence from 10am (WST), Monday 26th February 2018. BOOST pre-orders are then expected to commence shipping from the Company’s global warehouses from 24th April 2018.

Steven Ciobo MP, and Australian Ambassador to US, Mr. Joe Hockey at the National Governors Association Conference in Washington DC on Saturday 24th February 2018.

Commenting on the opening of the BOOST pre-orders Nuheara CEO, Justin Miller said, “The market response to BOOST, since announcing the new product at CES in January, has been overwhelming. As an indication, we have yet to commence any consumer marketing campaigns for BOOST and, we have already received nearly 1,000 consumer pre-registrations to order. This consumer interest coupled with our distribution and retail partners desire to be the first to stock BOOST, has seen the need for us to open pre-orders earlier than we anticipated. We are delighted that we can now officially offer a clinically validated product to a global hearing health care market.”

The potential market for BOOST is enormous. According to the World Health Organisation 15% of the world’s adult population has some degree of hearing loss, with approximately 70% suffering mild to moderate loss. Critically, only 10% of those that have been diagnosed with a mild to moderate loss have then actually gone on to purchase any form of hearing assistance.

“One of the most significant barriers to many people needing hearing assistance is the price of hearing devices,” said Dean Laird, Director of My Hearing, a Nuheara registered hearing health care reseller. “It’s fantastic to see a clinically validated product, IQbuds BOOST, come onto the market that will unlock accessible hearing solutions at a much lower price point to hearing aids. As a conservative estimate, 50% of the patients I see would benefit from the solutions Nuheara’s IQbuds Boost provide but at a much more accessible cost.”

“We are ready to fill a massive market gap by providing a hearing solution that is much more assessable, affordable and one which is more visually appealing and functional: an intelligent wireless earbud that not only provides hearing assistance but also allows you to listen to music and take phone calls,” said Mr Miller.

Nuheara’s IQbuds Boost™ will retail for the equivalent of AUD$649 and are now available for pre-order online at www.nuheara.com across seven currency sites including the Australian Dollar, US Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, UK Pound, European Euro and New Zealand Dollar. For a limited time, the Company is currently offering a 10% discount to early bird purchasers.
